Job summary

Library Systems & Services, LLC. is seeking a Material Handling Laborer in Fort Worth, TX to support a federal records program by accurately storing, retrieving, and handling government records.

The role involves moving boxes, shelving, scanning, and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with safety policies. You will participate in warehouse tasks, follow records-control procedures, and assist with disposition preparation while maintaining high accuracy and security of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrate sufficient English-language reading, basic writing, and basic numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Locate, retrieve, remove, transport, and reshelve Federal records containers in accordance with work instructions and documentation.
• Safely remove records boxes from shelving and transport with material-handling equipment.
• Receive and shelve incoming records transfers, verifying records and container locations.
• Prepare records for disposition by pulling designated containers and transporting them to staging areas.
• Maintain containers in the required sequence and verify identifying information and shelf locations.
• Retrieve requested folders and records in response to reference-service requests and reshelve after processing.
• Identify and report missing containers or discrepancies to the Team Lead.
• Complete required logs and documentation accurately.
• Perform palletizing, staging, shrink-wrapping, and general warehouse duties to protect records.
• Meet production and quality standards while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
