Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Federal Construction Project Manager to lead government projects from award through closeout, supporting DoD, NAVFAC, and other federal contracts. This role requires local DMV/Hyattsville area presence and travel to client sites.

The position is a 12+ month contract (1099) with potential direct hire to W2. You will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, RFIs, change orders, and QA/QC to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage federal construction projects from award through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasting reports
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, buyouts, and contract administration
  • Review and process RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Manage project invoicing, Schedule of Values, and financial reporting
  • Negotiate and process project change orders
  • Coordinate project activities with owners, government representatives, subcontractors, and field personnel
  • Support development and management of Accident Prevention Plans (APPs)
  • Support implementation of Quality Control Plans and project quality objectives
  • Monitor project performance, costs, schedules, risks, and compliance requirements
  • Conduct project meetings and provide updates to leadership and clients
  • Ensure successful delivery of federal construction projects on schedule and within budget

Federal Construction Project Manager (PM)

Location: Hyattsville, MD
Work Arrangement: Must be local to the DMV/Hyattsville area and able to work from the client's home office while traveling to project sites as required.
Duration: 12+ Months (Start: 9/28)
Type: 1099 Contractor with Opportunity for Direct Hire W2

Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: $66/hr (1099) or $125,000 Salary (W2)
  • Travel Reimbursement: IRS Mileage Reimbursement and Applicable Per Diem for Project Site Travel
  • Pay Frequency: Weekly (1099)
