Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for Fort Hood, TX.

The role provides engineering, construction management, and contract administration support for federal construction projects, coordinating with Government personnel, contractors, designers, and stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and compliance. Candidates should bring a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and extensive experience in project management and contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• 7+ years in engineering/construction management or 10 years managing construction projects.
• Experience with USACE/DoD or other federal construction programs preferred.
• Experience with MILCON/SRM projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS/UFC/EM 385-1-1 and other federal regs.
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans and codes.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance with methodology and contract.
• Document construction features, submittals and shop drawings for contract compliance.
• Maintain situational awareness of contractor activities to prevent delays.
• Assist in negotiation and change order management.
• Consult on construction contract administration and acquisition management.
• Advise Government on contract administration and federal regulations.
• Review proposed design changes to expedite construction.
• Coordinate with contractor personnel and stakeholders for project success.
• Manage RMS inputs for submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare briefing materials for stakeholder engagements.
