Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Designer for its Federal Buildings practice in the Puget Sound region. The role focuses on advanced mechanical design for HVAC, piping, and plumbing within built environments, using digital tools like Revit and other design software.

You will collaborate with project teams, prepare design calculations, and support project goals from concept to construction with attention to codes and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred.
• 4+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with UFC, IMC, UMC, IPC, NFPA, IBC, and ASHRAE.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for built environment.
• Collaborate with design staff as part of a coordinated design team.
• Prepare calculations and documentation for review by Project Manager or Senior Engineer.
• Use Revit to produce building loads and model drawings.
• Provide construction administration support and field observations.
