Job summary

The role requires hands-on leadership in sales, capture, and operations, reporting to the COO, with a focus on building a robust pipeline and delivering winning proposals. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in federal BD, 5+ years leading capture, and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8+ years federal business development background
• 5+ years leading capture lifecycle with track record of identifying opportunities and managing winning proposals
• 5+ years of project and/or program management background
• Knowledge of FAR, BPAs, IDIQ, contracting vehicles and government lifecycle
• Current pipeline built on client and partner relationships
• Strong strategic thinking and analytic skills
• Aggressive, sales-oriented personality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop initial business plan outlining focus agencies and strategies to achieve bookings
• Maintain approved business plan and update as requested
• Identify leads for new business opportunities and develop/capture strategy
• Monitor government acquisition notices for Hendall-fit opportunities
• Maintain relationships with government leaders to pursue and secure opportunities
• Analyze opportunities based on resources, incumbents, competitors, budgets and schedules
• Lead capture and proposal lifecycle for opportunities
• Provide operational oversight for secured contracts
• Identify and resolve issues impacting project performance
• Author proposals, white papers and SOPs
• Present executive reports on bids and pipeline status
• Perform other duties as assigned
