Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager in Arlington, VA to oversee and maintain all current government contracts while negotiating and finalizing new agreements. The role requires deep contract management expertise to ensure compliance and optimize terms for both existing and upcoming contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of experience managing various contract types and solicitation types.
• Knowledge of Federal Contracting guidelines.
• 3+ years of experience in supporting Federal clients.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance.
• Proven expertise with MS Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall contract compliance for assigned tasks, adhering to contract requirements, company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Lead and coordinate proposal and award activities for assigned contracts, guiding internal teams through every stage of the contract lifecycle.
• Independently review complex contract actions at all stages of the lifecycle, developing tactical plans to address risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Client Success, and HR to tackle contract administration and proposal challenges.
• Serve as SME for contracts, providing guidance and resolving complex issues and ensuring compliance.
• Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration for government contracts, including RFP analysis, proposal development/review, T&Cs, internal reviews, negotiation, and execution.
• Engage with contracts, procurement staff, program management, and customers through written and oral communication.
• Enter contract data into systems, monitor updates, and resolve discrepancies.
