Job summary

Miami Nation Enterprises seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage accurate, timely multi-state payroll for the organization and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with federal contracts and applicable wage laws.

The role encompasses full payroll processing, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and timekeeping, with emphasis on Davis-Bacon, SCA, and DCAA-compliant timekeeping for government contracts. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably multi-state and multi-entity.
• Experience with government contractor payroll, including Davis-Bacon, Service Contract Act, certified payroll, and DCAA-compliant timekeeping, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls for employees across multiple states and entities, including reviewing timesheets and posting timesheets.
• Enter payroll journal entries and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax requirements, and internal procedures.
• Ensure timekeeping and labor distribution practices meet federal contract requirements, including DCAA-compliant timekeeping standards and wage determinations.

Education

Accounting degree (Associates or Bachelors)
