Job summary

LifeSkills Connection, Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Tax Specialist to own multi-state payroll processes and ensure compliance with payroll tax requirements across states and government contracts.

This role collaborates with the VP of Finance, HR, and Paycor, offering hands-on ownership and team-based payroll responsibilities. You will manage on-time payroll, wage deductions, and government-contract payroll compliance while acting as a trusted resource for employees and partners.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
• Experience with Paycor and QuickBooks Online is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate, on-time multi-state payroll through Paycor for assigned entities and contracts.
• Keep payroll tax accounts current and registered as we grow into new states and locations.
• Review and reconcile timekeeping data, working with supervisors and employees to resolve discrepancies.
• Administer wage garnishments and other mandated deductions.
• Support compliance with wage-and-hour requirements on government contracts (FLSA, SCA) with training as needed.
• Be a go-to resource for employees with pay and deduction questions.
• Partner with Finance and HR rather than working in isolation.
