Job summary

Miami Nation Enterprises is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage accurate, timely multi-state payroll for our government-contract work across construction, IT, and logistics services.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, administer Davis-Bacon and SCA fringe benefits, and coordinate with Costpoint for cost accounting and billing. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably multi-state and multi-entity.
• Experience with government contractor payroll including Davis-Bacon, SCA, and DCAA-compliant timekeeping preferred.
• FPC or CPP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls for employees across multiple states and entities.
• Ensure payroll is compliant with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax requirements, and internal procedures.
• Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports for management and contract compliance.
• Prepare intercompany payroll journal entries and process payroll-related accounts payable.
• Support labor cost accuracy for contract billing and project cost systems.
