Job summary

GSA in the United States seeks a Construction Manager/COR to provide construction management, technical oversight and contract administration for Federal and leasing projects.

The Office of Facilities Management covers thousands of spaces nationwide; this role supports design review, cost estimates, negotiations, and liaison with contractors and lessors. Candidates should have specialized federal experience and manage multiple disciplines end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience applying engineering methods and construction practices to building systems.
• Experience defining customer requirements and developing construction cost estimates.
• Ability to inspect construction and administer contracts.
• Experience reading engineering and architectural plans and specifications.
• Experience independently managing projects or large portions from initiation to closeout.

Responsibilities

• Performs planning, coordination, oversight, administration and management of design, construction and leasing project activities.
• Serves as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), monitoring performance and documenting compliance with contracts.
• Coordinates activities among architects, engineers, contractors, leasing specialists and other stakeholders.
• Prepares independent government estimates and technical analyses to support acquisition and negotiations.
• Maintains working relationships with Federal client agencies to support project coordination.
