Job summary

AFG Group is seeking a Construction Manager to support multiple improvements at existing land ports of entry, coordinating field activities and reporting progress to GSA project managers. You will work alongside GSA staff while maintaining AFG employment and supervision.

The role requires travel to Texas and New Mexico, along with the ability to read drawings, develop scopes of work, review submittals, and coordinate procurement. A security clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience managing occupied or sensitive renovation projects.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and identify issues.
• Strong coordination with government staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Visit projects, observe progress and report concerns to GSA.
• Develop scopes of work and assist procurement and reviews.
• Prepare IGEs, measure quantities and coordinate with the GSA PM.
• Coordinate with contractors and facility users to minimize disruption.
• Address technical questions with engineering or specialty reviews.
