Job summary

Peraton is seeking a dynamic Federal Civilian Business Development Executive to lead and expand our Federal Financial Portfolio. The role targets growth through strategic opportunities in major federal financial accounts, with a strong emphasis on building lasting relationships and winning high-value contracts.

Ideal candidates will have 16+ years in BD, deep knowledge of federal procurement, and a proven track record in securing multi-phase, multi-million dollar wins.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of experience in business development
• Experience in at least two federal financial accounts (e.g., SEC, FDIC, CFTC, FRB)
• Proven success winning contracts $50M+
• Experience building/managing $100M+ opportunity pipelines
• Deep understanding of federal customer missions and procurement dynamics
• Strong relationships with government stakeholders and partners
• Ability to think strategically and operate independently
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Local to DC Metro area with travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, qualification, and development of strategic opportunities
• Achieve acquisition and sales objectives on deals $50M to $1B+
• Interface with customers and build trusted relationships
• Shape customer requirements and acquisition strategies
• Pursue new markets, adjacencies, and partnerships
• Use Peraton Acquisition Process to manage opportunities
• Collaborate with technical teams on RFIs and white papers
• Evolve Account Plans to grow portfolios
