Job summary

Ares Enterprise, LLC seeks an experienced Capture Manager to lead the full capture lifecycle for federal opportunities across DoD, civilian agencies, and the Intelligence Community. You will partner with executive leadership, BD, and proposal teams to craft competitive capture strategies, drive customer engagement, and position the firm for successful contract awards.

The role requires strategic thinking, relationship-building, and the ability to manage multiple pursuits under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, Management or related field.
• 5+ years in federal government contracting, with at least 3 years in capture management.
• Experience managing capture opportunities from qualification through award.
• Solid understanding of FAR and government procurement processes.
• Experience with DoD, federal civilian agencies, or the IC.
• Knowledge of federal contract vehicles (GSA MAS, GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, task orders).
• Strong written/verbal communication, negotiation, analytics, and presentation skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple capture opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAM.gov and procurement intelligence tools.
• APMP certification or equivalent capture credentials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead full capture lifecycle from qualification to proposal submission and award.
• Develop capture plans with customer engagement, competitive analysis, teaming and win themes.
• Identify opportunities aligned to core capabilities and vehicles.
• Conduct bid/no-bid analyses and probability-of-win evaluations.
• Manage multiple captures with milestones and pipeline forecasts.
• Develop pursuit strategies and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Build relationships with federal customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate proposal readiness activities and reviews.
• Ensure smooth transition from capture to proposal and post-award handoff.
• Report progress to executive leadership with risk and KPI updates.
