Job summary

Magellan Federal seeks a Dir, Business Development, Federal - Remote to lead the federal pipeline from identification through qualification, partnering with capture management to shape strategy and next steps. You will build relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and partners and guide junior staff.

The role requires 8+ years in federal business development, a BA in Business Administration, and familiarity with federal acquisition.

Qualifications

8+ years of business development experience supporting federal programs.
Bachelor's degree in business administration required.
Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes.
Ability to develop and execute account strategies and revenue goals.
Leads opportunity identification and qualification activities.
Collaborates with internal teams, consultants, and clients to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Develops and executes assigned federal account and opportunity strategies aligned with goals, capabilities, client needs, market trends, and competition to achieve growth targets.
Manages opportunities within the federal BD pipeline per SOP, including identification, qualification, documentation, and lifecycle tracking.
Develops and presents Identification and Qualification gate reviews with leadership, including client, technical, competitive, teaming, pricing, and risk insights.
Supports capture and proposal managers with solution development, teaming, pricing approaches, and proposal content.
Guides less experienced BD staff and supports continuous improvement, audits, and compliance of BD tools and processes.
