Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a BD Account Executive – Engineering & Manufacturing to drive account plans, grow the federal pipeline, and win contracts. You will engage with DoD and civil agencies, build strategic partnerships, and manage opportunities across engineering and manufacturing services.

Minimum 7–10 years of federal business development, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong DoD contracting knowledge are required. Extensive travel up to 50% may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7–10 years of commercial and/or federal business-development experience.
• Knowledge of federal procurement and contract vehicles (GSA, IDIQs, etc.).
• Experience with DoD or federal contracting environments is preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans, growth strategies, and pipeline targets.
• Lead customer engagement, capture strategy, and partnering efforts.
• Identify opportunities across engineering, manufacturing, and related markets.
• Maintain records in Salesforce and monitor budgets and acquisition plans.
• Travel up to 50% as needed and ensure compliance with ethics requirements.
