Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a high‑level Business Development and Capture professional to drive strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors for federal alternative delivery contracts such as Progressive Design‑Build and DB2B. The role focuses on early teaming commitments and shaping opportunities with prime contractors on DoD and other federal programs.

Bachelor's degree is required.
15 years of related experience are required.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency depends on duties and workload.

Responsibilities

Lead CDM Smith’s strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors for federal alternative delivery opportunities.
Identify priority pursuits and assess contractor capabilities to build executive‑level relationships.
Collaborate with CSLs, preconstruction, legal and sales teams to develop teaming strategies and improve probability of award.
Manage the General Contractor relationship pipeline from target identification through teaming agreements and scopes of work.
Lead negotiations for exclusivity, teaming terms and scopes of work before solicitation.
Support pursuit teams with engineering and cost validation inputs during early design and procurement cycles.
