Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a highly experienced Federal Alternative Delivery Market Lead to drive strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors on opportunities like Progressive Design‑Build and DB2B for U.S. Government projects.

You will collaborate with Client Service Leaders and internal teams to shape teaming agreements, scopes of work, and pursuit plans, while nurturing executive relationships that advance awards.

Qualifications

• 15 years of related experience in federal architecture, engineering, and construction business development or an equivalent role.
• Direct experience with federal alternative delivery projects and/or working with General Contractors.
• Understanding of FAR Part 36 and two‑phase Design‑Build selection processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead CDM Smith’s strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors pursuing federal alternative delivery opportunities.
• Identify priority pursuits, assess contractor capabilities, and build executive‑level relationships for early teaming commitments.
• Collaborate with CSLs and preconstruction teams to develop teaming strategies and improve probability of award.
• Manage the GC relationship pipeline and coordinate teaming agreements and scopes of work through solicitation.
