Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Federal Alternative Delivery Market Lead to direct strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors for U.S. Government projects, including Progressive Design-Build and Design-Build to Budget.

The role emphasizes leading the exclusive or preferred design partner relationship and executive-level teaming commitments. You will work with CSLs and cross-functional teams to develop teaming strategies, manage the GC relationships pipeline, and drive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
15 years of related experience in federal architecture, engineering, and construction business development or equivalent.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Target and establish direct relationships with regional and national General Contractors pursuing federal alternative delivery contracts.
Position CDM Smith as the preferred design subcontractor early in procurement and negotiate exclusivity and teaming terms.
Present engineering expertise, constructability, cost validation, design-phase management, risk mitigation, and phased delivery models to General Contractor teams.
Lead teaming strategy for DoD and other federal opportunities by translating procurement criteria into competitive designer-led forms.
Maintain a qualified pipeline of federal opportunities and track actions from target identification to teaming execution.
Monitor federal agency movement toward accelerated delivery methods and align resources with prime contractor interest and capacity.
