Job summary

IonQ is hiring a Specialty Sales Account Executive for the National Reconnaissance Office and the U.S. Combatant Commands.

You will bring IonQ’s full space portfolio, including SAR data services and satellites, DevSecOps and platform software, and quantum computing offerings to critical national security missions. You will work with product, engineering, and the federal sales team to win multi-million-dollar deals, building relationships with senior leaders in space, intelligence, and defense

Qualifications

• 7 years selling into national security space, ISR, or mission systems with large multi-million dollar deals.
• Real relationships with senior leaders across space, intelligence, or defense.
• Track record of winning business in new or emerging markets.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Top Secret security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
• Export control requirements (ITAR/EAR) awareness.

Responsibilities

• Help set strategy for NRO and the COCOMs by shaping account approach.
• Own a number and grow new and existing NRO/COCOMs opportunities.
• Manage deals from initial conversation to signed contract and handoff to delivery.
• Define success metrics to measure territory performance.
• Understand NRO and COCOMs needs, competitive landscape, and IonQ edge in SAR, DevSecOps, AI, and quantum.
• Coordinate with customer success, PM, and other teams to ensure post-deal success.
• Represent IonQ at conferences and industry events to build brand in this space.
