Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Specialty Sales Account Executive for Civilian Agencies and the Intelligence Community. This role focuses on selling IonQ’s full portfolio to key federal customers, with access to federal sales and support teams to close multi-million dollar deals.

You will work with product, engineering, and legal teams to shape deals, ensuring compliance with export controls and security clearances, while driving growth in strategic government accounts nationwide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years selling into civilian government or intelligence community.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required; US citizenship required.
• Experience with large multi-million dollar deals with government agencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams and leadership.
• Access to information subject to ITAR/EAR export controls.

Responsibilities

• Help set strategy for civilian agency and IC accounts.
• Own sales targets within civilian agencies and IC.
• Manage deals from initial contact to contract and delivery handoff.
• Define success metrics for territory performance.
• Build deep understanding of customer needs and competitive edge.
