Job summary

The Boise Independent School District is seeking candidates for classified food service positions to support meal preparation and service across district sites. The role is governed by the Classified Salary Schedule, with the potential for credit for prior experience and a starting wage between $16.65 and $18.00 per hour depending on verified experience.

New hires may be eligible for substantial health benefits; fingerprinting and background checks are required.

Job description

Must be available to work on additional food service work days not reflected in the FS work schedule calendar to provide meals such as breakfast at secondary sites or meals for elementary (if a designated production site). Additional days worked will be paid on a time card.

District employees will need to complete a transfer application.

New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.

Please be advised that accepting full-time employment may affect any subsidy for health insurance purchased through the Idaho Health Insurance Exchange.

SALARY: Index: 01/C/03 ($16.65/hour) to 01/C/05 ($18.00/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees *Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "C" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.
