Boise Independent School District is seeking a qualified interpreter for deaf/hard-of-hearing students. The role focuses on interpreting and translating spoken English into appropriate communication modes within classrooms and related settings.
Requirements include an EIPA score of 3.5 or RID/NAD certification, plus two years of experience in educational interpretation. Fingerprint/background check is required; employment is at-will.
District employees will need to complete the online transfer application.

New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work expe r ience .Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.

Index:01/I/02 ($25.39/hour) to 01/I/04 ($27.47/hour) depending on verified experience

*Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "I", "J" or "K" letter grade of theClassified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

Benefits Information:For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.
