Boise Independent School District is seeking a dedicated classified staff member to support elementary students and school operations. The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and collaboration with teachers and parents.

New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.
*Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the “C\" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.
START DATE: 26-27 School Year
For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.
The incumbent is responsible to monitor and guide the behaviors of elementary students toward appropriate social skills and interactions. During non-playground time, the incumbent may assist in the school office or library. Duties primarily include providing a safe and secure environment; maintaining playground equipment and equipment inventory; documenting student conflicts and applying problem solving techniques; working with the principal, teachers, counselors and parents; and providing back-up assistance to office, library and other building staff.
Employment for this position is “at will”. Employment at Will means that the employee or the District may terminate the employment relationship with or without cause (which shall be defined as any reason which is not “arbitrary and capricious”, and which does not violate public policy) and with or without notice, at any time. As per Idaho Code 65-5-1/65-503: \"Eligible veterans are provided advantages in public employment in Idaho…\"
