Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch meals in accordance with district menus and USDA guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, warmers, dishwashers, slicers, etc.).
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving lines, and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and food preparation equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature procedures.
• Stock and organize food, supplies, and deliveries.
• Accurately portion and serve meals to students and staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful customer service to students and staff.
• Assist with inventory and notify the supervisor of needed supplies.
• Follow all district, state, and federal nutrition program requirements.
• Identify and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Support special events or alternative meal service needs as assigned.

Position Summary

The Payette School District is seeking a responsible, dependable individual to support daily food service operations. This role plays a key part in providing nutritious meals to students in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. The Food Service Cook/Server assists with food preparation, serving, sanitation, and overall kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. This is a part-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch meals in accordance with district menus and USDA guidelines
