Boise Independent School District is seeking staff for Just For Kids after-school care for children aged 5-12 in Boise. The role involves supervising students, organizing activities, and guiding social, cognitive, and physical development in a safe, engaging environment.
Position is full-time with shifts 7am-9:30am and 3pm-6pm, Monday through Friday. Benefits and training provided; 256 days per year with $16.65–$18.00 hourly rate depending on experience.
At Just For Kids, our mission is to offer safe, affordable, year round on-site care for children ages 5-12 in the Boise School District. When students are in our care, activities and relationships occur in a healthy, positive and relaxed environment in which well-qualified staff provide personal attention and guidance to each child. All Just for Kids staff members are Boise School District employees and childcare providers have advanced clearances through Idaho Health and Welfare
Full-time employees work split shifts, before and after school, Monday through Friday 7am - 9:30am and 3pm - 6pm as required availability
This position qualifies for prorated benefits through the District's benefits program. A stipend is given on an employee's paycheck that is equivalent to the prorated amount
Additional compensation and child care assistance available to eligible employees
No weekend or evening shifts; Additional hours up to 40 hours/week available during our summer program; Paid training on child development, CPR, First Aid, behavior management, safety and security.

New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.

Index: 01/C/03 ($16.65/hour) to 01/C/05 ($18.00/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees *Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the “C" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.
