Job summary

Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) is seeking a Training Specialist to empower fathers through education, mentoring support, and community engagement as part of the Dads Who Lead program. This role strengthens father-child relationships and promotes family resilience through content development and coordinated training activities.

The Training Specialist supports workshops, reflects trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices, and maintains accurate records in DYCD systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, social work or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience facilitating training or workshops, preferably in family development or community engagement.
  • Knowledge of fathering programming best practices and adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of curricula, workshops, and training activities.
  • Plan learning outcomes based on program goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate the online ProFathering15 curriculum for Tier 1 and 2 fathers.
  • Lead and facilitate the eight-session SFI curriculum for Tier 3 and 4 fathers.
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly workshops with partner agencies.
  • Manage event calendars and coordinate training activities.
  • Track training completion and employment outcomes; maintain records in PTS.
