Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking an Outreach Specialist to recruit and engage fathers and families for the HERO Dads program in the Bronx. The role emphasizes building relationships with community partners, conducting intake, and supporting participants from first contact through enrollment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Human Services, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage diverse communities with cultural humility.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment when assessing participant circumstances.
• Experience with Facebook/Instagram for outreach preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach and recruitment at events, tabling, and partner sites.
• Manage digital outreach on Facebook and Instagram and schedule intake appointments.
• Develop and sustain referral relationships with community partner organizations.
• Follow up with participants who have not completed intake.
• Document activities and enrollment data in program databases (nFORM, Excel).
• Collaborate with the team to coordinate services and participate in trainings.
• Support CQI by maintaining timely data.
