Job summary

AutoZone in the United States is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop leadership and operational expertise. You will gain hands-on experience in customer service, inventory management, merchandising, and store performance under a Store Manager's guidance.

Through structured training over 8-12 weeks, you may progress into a Retail Store Management position, depending on performance and openings. A flexible schedule and strong communication skills in English and Spanish are valued.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Full-time flexible schedule availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing store team and deliver WOW! customer service.
• Maintain clear communication with employees and customers to drive store execution and performance.
• Learn to manage and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize store profitability.
• Support store operations, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold structured training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop a strong, successful team.
• Take charge of customer service activities, ensuring outstanding experiences and resolving concerns proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, store merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize success.
• Complete management skills training in store operations and AutoZone culture.
