Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to prepare for promotion into Retail Store Management. You will receive hands-on leadership assignments, customer service excellence, and operational training.

In 8–12 weeks you may advance based on performance and experience. Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in retail leadership, flexible full-time availability, and strong communication in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Full-time flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of team and culture through leadership training and WOW customer service.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with employees and customers to drive execution.
• Learn to review and reconcile monthly P&L statements to improve profitability.
• Support store operations, ensure policy compliance, and follow training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to build a strong, capable team.
• Oversee customer service activities, ensure outstanding experiences, and resolve concerns proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize results.
• Complete management skills training and learn key aspects of AutoZone store operations.
