Job summary

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. The starting wage is $35,360 per year or $17.00 per hour.

This role offers exposure to Sales, Operations, Finance, and Leadership development to prepare you for future management responsibilities within a fast-paced company.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self‑motivated and eager to grow.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Support team with vehicle prep, lot management and customer service.
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation and business metrics.
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling and performance coaching.
