Job summary

Journeys Kidz at Genesco seeks a District Sales Manager in Training to support multiple stores in the Mesquite district. You will help drive sales, coach staff, and implement company initiatives with a focus on growth and leadership development.

You will participate in staffing, training, and loss prevention efforts, while traveling within the district to visit stores and mentor teams. Must be 18+, possess a valid driver’s license, and embrace a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years retail sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within district.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Achieve district sales goals and profitability targets.
• Assist DSM in staffing stores within the district.
• Assist in managing Loss Prevention practices.
• Direct store operations and provide coaching to all employees.
• Recruit, interview, and hire store management candidates.
• Train, develop, and promote store employees within the district.
• Conduct store visits as per Regional/DSM instructions.
