Job summary

Seymour Ford in Missouri is seeking a proactive Quick Lane Service Advisor to greet customers, gather vehicle information, write up repair orders and schedule appointments as needed.

This role emphasizes knowledge of automobiles, a proven customer-service track record, and the ability to work in a fast-paced Ford dealership setting. Prior Ford service experience is a plus; the team offers health insurance, flexible hours, PTO and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers
