Job summary

The Quick Service Team Member at University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Abel Dining Center works in a fast-paced, made-to-order setting using the mobile ordering platform. You will perform back-of-house duties, prepare ingredients, assemble orders, manage stations, and help ensure quality and waste control.

This essential role supports dining services and contributes to a welcoming campus environment. We offer benefits through UNL and require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100

Qualifications

• High School education plus one year of experience in a work environment required; equivalency considered.

Responsibilities

• Back-of-house kitchen duties: ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling orders, setting up and closing stations, recipe preparation, dish machine operations and cleaning.
• Build orders based on established procedures and recipes.
• Monitor food quality, presentation and control food waste.
• Assist in other areas as needed and other duties assigned.
