Job summary

University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Quick Service Team Member for the Selleck Dining Center. The role supports made-to-order concepts via a mobile ordering platform, performing kitchen duties, food prep, and station setup with strict adherence to recipes.

The position is full-time, supports essential operations, and offers comprehensive benefits. Applicants must meet physical requirements and obtain a Food Handler’s permit if needed.

Qualifications

• High School education plus one year of work experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, weigh and measure as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test.

Responsibilities

• Perform all back of the house kitchen duties, including ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling orders, setting up and closing stations, recipe preparation, dish machine operations and cleaning.
• Build orders based on established processes, procedures, guidelines, and recipes.
• Monitor food quality, food presentation, and control food waste.
• Assist within other areas as needed and other duties assigned.
