Minimum 2 years cooking experience, knife skills, and knowledge of health and sanitation procedures are essential. A valid Food Handler's Card is required to qualify.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a cook in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to safely perform basic knife skills and kitchen prep.
• Working knowledge of kitchen equipment including slicers, juicers, and small wares.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Knowledge of weights, measures, and various cooking techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of all food products and applies culinary techniques.
• Prepares menu items according to recipes, portions, and yield guides.
• Rotates products using FIFO and labels all items for safekeeping.
• Organizes prep items and stocks workstation with tools and supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas.
• Transports supplies from storeroom and stocks areas designated.
• Performs opening duties and prepares workstations for service.
• Complies with departmental policies and service standards.
• Keeps kitchen equipment clean and properly used; assists teammates.
