Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store areas like meat, bakery, produce, deli; customer service and product flow helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear direction to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial data to inform decisions.
• Mentor team members across the organization and ensure safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; drive customer service and sales performance.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Promote career development and identify development needs for staff.
• Document actions and advise on disciplinary recommendations.
• Manage P&L, sales goals, and shrink for the department.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and Meijer standards.
• Ensure training completion and adherence to safety programs.
• Maintain strong communications about the Meijer Friendly Initiative.
• Ensure reliable attendance and adherence to store policies.
