Job summary

Cooper Farms in Mark Center, Ohio, is seeking a 1st shift Farrowing Technician to join our family-owned operation. You will vaccinate newborn piglets, care for ill animals under veterinary guidance, and maintain a strict feeding routine in a clean, well‑run barn.

Starting pay is $18.05 per hour, with a potential increase to $19.30 after 90 days, plus benefits such as paid vacation, same-day pay, health/dental/vision and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
• Experience with newborn piglets is a plus (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Process and vaccinate newborn piglets.
• Care for ill animals according to veterinary guidance and maintain records.
• Maintain a designated feeding routine.
• Assist with barn maintenance and cleanliness, including power washing.

Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Farrowing Technician to join our team in Mark Center.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 5:30am-2:30pm, partial shift every 3rd weekend.

STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.05 with the potential of increasing to $19.30 after 90 days

PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

All training will be provided. Job functions include:

• Processing and vaccinating newborn piglets.
• Caring for ill animals per veterinary and manager guidance and maintaining records.
• Maintaining a designated feeding routine.
• Keeping up on barn maintenance and cleanliness, which includes power washing.
