Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers to care for live farm and ranch animals, including cattle. Responsibilities include feeding, watering, herding, branding, castration, catching and loading livestock, and maintaining animal housing. You will also help with births, administer medications, and move animals as required.

Experience required is 1 month; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Housing and meals are provided; transportation to stores may be arranged.

Qualifications

• 1 month of recent verifiable livestock work experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily tasks.
• Worker may undergo random drug testing at no cost.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water cattle and other farm animals.
• Herd, graze, castrate, brand, catch and load animals as needed.
• Maintain animal housing areas and move livestock between locations.
• Examine animals for diseases or injuries; assist in births when necessary.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate.
• Maintain records on animals and provide minerals to cattle.

Job description

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas and Provide mineral to cattle.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
