Job summary

H2ajobs in Oklahoma seeks farm laborers to attend cattle and other ranch animals. Duties include feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, catching and loading animals, and maintaining animal records. You may assist in births and administer veterinary tasks as needed.

Housing and meals are provided by the employer, with occasional weekly transport to stores for groceries. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a random drug test after hire.

• Must speak English.
• Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required.

Responsibilities

• Feed, water, herd, graze, castrate, brand, catch, and load animals.
• Maintain records on animals.
• Assist in birth deliveries and administer medications or vaccines.
• Move livestock using trucks or carts and inspect housing and facilities.
• Inspect, repair, or service livestock facilities; perform light welding.

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another manually or using trucks or carts; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences including servicing equipment and light welding; Provide mineral to cattle grazing wheat and grass pasture; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 2 months

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
