Job summary

H2ajobs in Arkansas is seeking a live-in farm laborer to care for cattle and other livestock. Duties include feeding, watering, herding, branding, loading animals, and assisting with births.

You will examine animals for disease, administer meds, keep records, move livestock, and maintain housing. Must speak English and be able to lift 50 lbs. One month of recent experience required; random drug test may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 month of recent and verifiable experience required for the listed job duties.
• Must be able to obtain a driver's license after hire and maintain a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be willing to undergo random drug testing at no cost to the worker.

Responsibilities

• Feed, water, herd, graze, castrate, brand, catch, and load cattle and other animals.
• Maintain animal records and recognize signs of illness or injury.
• Assist with birthing and administer medications or vaccines as appropriate.
• Move livestock between locations and keep animal housing areas clean and sanitary.
• Provide minerals to cattle and ensure proper housing and feeding facilities.

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; must be able to recognize sick animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Provide mineral to cattle; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
