H2ajobs in Roswell, New Mexico seeks a live-in livestock handler to tend cattle and other animals. You will feed, water, herd, graze, assist births, and move animals between pastures while maintaining housing and records.

Requirements include three months of recent experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, a valid driver’s license, and English fluency. Housing and meals are provided; a weekly grocery trip and drug testing may be required.

Qualificações

• Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
• Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. A random drug test may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Feed, water, herd, graze, castrate, brand, catch, and load animals.
• Move livestock from one location to another and administer medications or vaccines as needed.
• Maintain records on animals and housing areas; assist in birth deliveries.
• Provide minerals to cattle and ensure clean, safe animal housing.
• Must speak English and work in housing provided by employer.

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Provide mineral to cattle; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
