Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 in Raleigh to support the store leadership team in delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You will train new recruits, help achieve sales targets, and oversee daily operations while leveraging your fandom knowledge to engage fans and train staff. You will cover the floor, open/close the store, process transactions, and drive add-on sales through promotional benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• Avenger-like skills: communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and a drive to develop your peeps.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Able to navigate the store, merchandise product utilizing approved store equipment, and pack/unpack boxes up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages customers to return.
• Cover the sales floor and provide leadership support when needed.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Process sales and drive add-on sales and curbside pickup; report shortages/overages to Store Manager.
• Understand store sales plan, KPIs (UPT, ADT).
• Assist with planogram changes including store map and fixtures.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ.
• Help ensure stock room organization and store tidiness.
• Develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team to run the store.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Leader.
