Job summary

Texas Family Care Network seeks an Engagement Supervisor to lead and develop a team of Family and Youth Engagement Specialists, ensuring timely services for children and families and adherence to policy. The role requires initiative to organize many tasks, supervise staff, and participate in court hearings and planning meetings.

You will drive collaboration with education, health, and justice systems while maintaining compliance with program standards and child safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or better in Human Services or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Requires three (3) years of relevant experience in child welfare including knowledge of issues surrounding foster care, adoption, trauma, medical and developmental needs.
• Requires a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages unit operations to achieve goals and objectives for service delivery by monitoring caseloads, consulting with staff on case issues, approving leave and holding unit meetings.
• Interprets program policy and procedures to unit staff, other agency staff, parents, children, youth, caregivers, the courts, CASA, other stakeholders, and the general public.
• Learns the background of the family and child/youth on each case to strategize how best to support them.
• Identify potential kinship/fictive kin placement options and provide information to the case management team.
• Participates in supervision meetings as directed/required by the Director.
• Attends and actively participates in court hearings about the child and family as needed.
• Ability to work independently to meet case management deadlines and job performance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
