Job summary

Atlanta Housing is seeking a Family Success Specialist in the Resident Empowerment department to coordinate services for families in HUD programs. You will manage a large caseload, enroll participants, and link them with education, training, and housing resources to promote self-sufficiency.

You will work closely with HCVP and housing staff, conducting triage assessments and developing individualized work plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human or social services, public administration, or a related field.
• Four years of human development case management experience with low-income individuals/families.
• HUD Family Self Sufficiency program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and enroll eligible Public Housing, Homeflex, and HVCP participants in the FSS program; prepare COPs and ITSPs.
• Conduct human development triage assessments and develop individualized plans for compliance.
• Provide counseling and coaching in education, job training, employment, childcare, transportation, credit repair, financial literacy, and homeownership.
• Facilitate FSS orientations, workshops, and employment/education fairs; refer to local services.
• Monitor progress, calculate escrow/incentive contributions, and coordinate payments with Fiscal Affairs.
• Collaborate with HCVP case workers and staff; conduct home visits as needed.
• Track outcomes and prepare leadership reports.
