Job summary

Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) seeks a Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinator to support Housing Choice Voucher participants toward financial independence. You will provide case management, counseling, and program support under the HCV Special Projects Manager.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, developing ITSPs, and coordinating with providers to help participants increase earned income and reduce dependence on assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited four-year college or university with relevant major.
• At least five years in case management or supportive service delivery.
• Knowledge of assisted housing and HCV programs, HUD regulations, and MDHA policies.
• Knowledge of affordable housing rules, landlord/tenant rights, and rental/homeownership principles.
• Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect clients with services.
• Knowledge of general accounting and financial processes.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Driver's license (Tennessee).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen and qualify participants for the Family Self-Sufficiency program.
• Conduct quarterly enrollment sessions and orientations.
• Develop ITSPs and monitor progress toward goals.
• Coordinate with community partners to link resources.
• Maintain participant records and monitor escrow activities.
