Job summary

Sci Corp in Riverside, CA is seeking a Family Service Counselor to serve client families by arranging at-need and pre-need cemetery plans. You will generate revenue and act as the primary contact for families, delivering empathetic, professional service and educating on pre-planning benefits.

Responsibilities include daily lead generation, referrals, and building trust-based relationships while collaborating with funeral directors and location staff to provide seamless, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of college or education/experience preferred.
• 1-2 years customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; insurance license if required by state/province.
• Ability to pass internal presentation certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends; strong computer and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation: prospecting daily and obtaining referrals from families served.
• Build relationships with families; respond to inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to provide seamless service; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support future sales by maintaining contact with families and earning referrals.
