Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to provide housing assistance and supportive services to families in the affordable housing portfolio. You will collaborate with the Property Manager, engage partners, and help residents access income resources and community programs.

Responsibilities include needs-based assessments, case management, youth programming when applicable, and coordination of health, wellness, and educational activities to improve resident

Qualifications

• A college degree in human services, social work, or 2 years in a closely related field or related experience.
• At minimum, one full year working with families.
• Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and good organizational skills.
• Proficient in using Windows environment and working with databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing assistance for families in the Affordable Housing Portfolio and work with the Property Manager.
• Conduct needs-based assessments and case management services.
• Support housing retention and connect residents to income resources and public benefits.
• Coordinate health, wellness, and educational programs tailored to resident needs.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community providers; engage youth when applicable.
