Job summary

The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County in Ann Arbor seeks a Housing Case Manager to engage with clients, assess needs, and create individualized housing and stability plans. You will provide referrals, support navigating services, and follow up to ensure positive outcomes.

Responsibilities include maintaining complete client records, coordinating with specialists, and assisting with housing searches while serving diverse populations with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in human services or related field; experience with vulnerable populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to NASW Code of Ethics.
• Diversity and poverty awareness and culturally competent practice.
• Ability to multitask and work with complex caseloads.
• Proficient computer skills and resources research.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients, assess needs, and create person-centered housing plans.
• Provide referrals and follow-up to improve housing stability.
• Maintain accurate client records and HMIS data entries.
• Manage a caseload and coordinate with the team for client services.
• Meet with clients in the community and in the shelter setting.
• Occasionally work evenings and weekends to engage clients.
