Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Family Preservation and Reunification Caseworker to serve children, youth and families in Mifflin County, PA. You will coordinate services with Mifflin County Children & Youth Services and conduct monthly foster home visits and observations.

You will prepare case notes and required documentation, and be available to provide court testimony when needed. This full-time, community-based position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required or Bachelor’s Degree in unrelated field with minimum 12 credits in a Human Service related course.
• 1 year of experience/training in working with children and/or families.
• Knowledge of child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, or developmental disability service systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain contact with families referred through Mifflin County CYS.
• Accompany and help families prepare for doctor appointments and attend monthly foster home visits and observations.
• Prepare and complete required documentation, including case notes, in compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Provide court testimony in a professional manner as needed and scheduled.

Skills

1-year experience with children and/or

Knowledge of child welfare/juvenile

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Bachelor’s Degree in unrelated field with 12 credits in Human Services
