Job summary

Women In Need (Win) seeks a Housing Manager to lead housing placement efforts for families in Win shelters. You will supervise Housing Coordinators, strengthen housing partnerships, and drive strategies to transition families from shelter to permanent housing.

Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, you will oversee housing services, monitor performance outcomes, and ensure compliance with CARES and funding requirements while coordinating with Case Managers and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or better.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the New York City housing market.
• Knowledge of housing subsidies, supportive housing programs, and entitlement systems.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with landlords, brokers, and community partners.
• Experience working with families, experiencing homelessness and housing instability.
• Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Strengths-Based Case Management, and family-centered practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CARES experience and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support Housing Coordinators to achieve housing placement goals.
• Provide guidance on housing subsidies, supportive housing programs, and housing application processes.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with landlords, brokers, and housing providers to expand housing opportunities for families.
• Lead housing workshops, orientations, housing fairs, and networking events that support housing readiness and client engagement.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, Clinical staff, and community partners to develop individualized housing strategies.
• Track housing referrals, placements, and key performance metrics to ensure program goals and contractual targets are met.
• Ensure accurate case documentation, reporting, and compliance with CARES, agency requirements, and funding regulations.
• Participate in apartment viewings, lease signings, and other housing-related activities, including occasional evenings and weekends.
